Asheville Wedding Venue with Panoramic Mountain Views and Bohemian Garden Lounges

We're tucked into the Blue Ridge Mountains just outside Rutherfordton, close enough to Asheville that couples seeking mountain magic without the downtown rush find us easily. What brings people to our 22 acres usually starts with the views. Panoramic doesn't quite capture it. From our covered Mountain View Patio, you see ridgeline after ridgeline, layers of blue fading into the distance. The light shifts all day, and by golden hour, those mountains glow in a way that makes your ceremony feel like it's happening inside a painting.

But it's not just the backdrop that makes weddings here feel different. It's the way we've woven art, nature, and global inspiration into spaces where you can actually relax and celebrate. Our garden lounges, scattered across 22 acres, invite your guests to settle in like they're at a beautifully curated home rather than a formal venue.

Why This Asheville Area Venue Feels Like a Living Work of Art

The views pulled you here, but what keeps couples booking House Boheme is how the entire property works together. We're not offering one ceremony spot and a reception hall. You're getting layered outdoor spaces, garden rooms that feel like extensions of the main house, and interiors designed by artists who understand that every detail contributes to the experience. From the moment your guests arrive at our rhododendron framed entrance to the last dance on the flagstone patio, the flow feels natural. Here's what that actually looks like on your wedding day.

The Mountain Views You'll Actually Use

You don't just look at the mountains here. You live inside them for the day. Our Mountain View Patio sits under a generous roof, so rain or shine, you and your guests stay comfortable while the Blue Ridge unfolds in every direction. We've hosted ceremonies here where vows carry across the open air without microphones, thanks to the way the covered space naturally amplifies sound.

Asheville Wedding Locations

The 4 acre Open Field offers another perspective. Walk out into that meadow and you're standing in the middle of panoramic views with nothing but grass and sky around you. Some couples say their vows there. Others use it for lawn games during cocktail hour. The Peninsula Garden, a 12,000 square foot grass area wrapped by fruit trees and gardens, gives you room for a tented reception or an open air dinner under string lights, all with mountain views framing the celebration.

Inside, the bridal suite opens through Italian woven wrought iron glass doors to a private balcony. You're getting ready, champagne in hand, looking out over the venue and the mountains beyond. The main level honeymoon suite has lofted ceilings and double glass doors that slide open to the patio. Even our lower level speakeasy bar, hand built from reclaimed tiger wood salvaged from the upstairs bridal suite bathroom floor, flows out to a flagstone patio where guests can step outside between dances and still feel held by the landscape.

Garden Lounges That Redefine Cocktail Hour

Our garden isn't just greenery. It's a series of living rooms scattered across the property. We've set up handmade willow furniture, cocktail tables, and fringed umbrellas under blueberry bushes and fruit trees. These aren't rental chairs dropped in for the day. They're part of the space, woven into the landscape like the rhododendron and Indian Hawthorne that frame our grand front entrance.

Guests drift naturally from the ceremony to these garden lounges during cocktail hour. Some settle into the willow seating with a drink made at our speakeasy bar. Others wander the forested trails or find the private waterfall and babbling brook for photos. The Lower Level Walkout opens to another flagstone patio perfect for an intimate cocktail setup or a dance floor under the stars. You're not corralling people into one crowded space. You're giving them room to explore, connect, and actually enjoy the celebration at their own pace.

We provide over 60 year old vintage Moroccan rugs, hand blown glassware from Morocco, and artist made ceramic dinnerware from Pineapple Studios. The textures, the colors, the way light filters through the brass string lighting we've strung across the patio, it all creates an atmosphere that feels intentional without being fussy. Your guests will remember the vibe as much as the views.

What's Included When You Book House Boheme

We're almost turnkey for 100 guests, which means you're not starting from scratch. Ten poplar wood farmhouse tables, each seating 8 to 12, come with matching benches. We also have vintage German beer tables and all the willow patio furniture you saw in the garden lounges. Brass string lighting and velvet lanterns provide warm illumination after sunset. Linen napkins, tablecloths, complete barware, cutlery, those hand blown barware pieces made by women in Guadalajara, Mexico, all here.

You'll use real ceramic plates, not disposables. You'll toast with Moroccan glassware that catches the light. We include teak loungers, market umbrellas, woven mats, beverage decanters, insulated drink bins, a round cake cutting table, and welcome signage. Even custom Moroccan indoor outdoor robes for guests who want to lounge by the fire or on the patio. Two on site vendor liaisons coordinate the day so you're not managing logistics. We offer in house florals and photography, tailored to your vision if you want them. You get access to the bridal suite and primary suite starting at 10 a.m. on your wedding day. Rehearsal access and private photo sessions are included. The main house sleeps 12 plus guests across 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, with a chef's kitchen, living and dining areas, and a Sonos audio system throughout. Complimentary champagne waits in the bridal suite.

We've set up multiple power and water hookups, solar ground lighting, an ADA compliant restroom on the main level patio, and 2 acres of on site parking. Catering vendors access the space via the garage and concrete pad area. If you want an indoor bar, we can set that up by passing through windows to the patio so your bartender isn't stuck inside while everyone's outside.

From Ceremony to Celebration, the Flow Works

You might start with a ceremony on the Mountain View Patio or out in the Open Field. Guests move naturally to the garden lounges for cocktails while you disappear for photos at the waterfall or along the forested trails. Dinner happens on the Peninsula Garden or under the covered patio, depending on your guest count and style. The reception can stay there, or you can shift the energy downstairs to the speakeasy bar and flagstone patio, where the vibe turns more intimate and the dancing feels less formal.

The spaces connect without forcing anyone through awkward transitions. Sliding double doors, open sightlines, and multiple outdoor areas mean people flow easily from one moment to the next. You're not stuck in a ballroom with no windows. You're not fighting a rigid timeline. The day unfolds the way you want it to.

Built and Run by Artists Who Understand What You're Looking For

House Boheme was designed by a jewelry designer and a photographer who wanted to create something visually aesthetic inside and out. Every detail, from the reclaimed wood to the vintage furniture spanning decades, reflects that commitment to art and beauty. We're not a corporate venue with a script. The people you talk to during planning are the same people here on your wedding day. That high level of hospitality, that interactive, personal approach, it's central to how we operate.

Exclusive Wedding Venue

We accommodate intimate ceremonies and celebrations up to 150 plus guests for large outdoor weddings. The 22 acres give you space to make the day yours without feeling like you're on top of another event or squeezed into a template. You're not renting a blank canvas. You're stepping into a living body of art that already has soul, and you're adding your story to it.
